In collaboration with Jenna of Bujo Bae, This is not just any regular wall calendar; it’s designed to highlight the moon phases along side the Gregorian calendar with a beautiful blend of nature.
Each month’s spread showcases a plant that is special to me. I personally photographed these plants in their different stages throughout the seasons and sent the images to Jenna, the talented graphic artist behind the calendar. I’m not much of a drawer, but I can take a good picture! Jenna transformed my photos into stunning artwork, perfectly matched with carefully chosen color palettes.
What makes this calendar even more unique is that it incorporates my mahina calculations for the entire year, seamlessly paired with Jenna’s artwork. I think it turned out amazing, and I’m really excited for you to see it!
The calendar starts on December 1, 2024, which is when the makahiki hou, the Hawaiian New Year, begins with the Hilo moon phase. This means the calendar covers 13 months, running from December 2024 through December 2025.
